A Peace of Wisdom

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand."

What security is in this statement of Christ's. No one, not Satan himself, has the power to take one of Christ's own from the safety of Christ's hand. Once I have truly accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, I am safely in His care...for eternity. How can this be? I cannot comprehend it, but I know it to be true. How blessed it is to be a child of God.

The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Nothing can happen to me without God's knowledge. He will not leave me alone, but is always at the ready to come to my aid. What can I fear if God Himself is for me and with me? (see also Romans 8:31-39)
